Photorealistic and Multimodal Craniofacial Reconstruction for Forensic Human Identification

SECTOR: Healthcare and Life Sciences
TECHNOLOGY USED: GenAI
COUNTRY: Spain

Short description of the innovation study

The FaceGen2 project is a logical progression from the successful FaceGen project developed in the Innovative Studies Call 2025, seeking to multiply the value of our forensic Craniofacial Reconstruction tool incorporating appearance traits critical for the recognizability of a face. FaceGen automated the morphology reconstruction, reducing processing time from weeks to seconds, addressing a long-standing demand of the forensic market. FaceGen2 builds upon these results by developing Generative AI pipelines to produce photorealistic facial representations, integrating shape and texture from different evidence sources. This approach will reduce subjectivity, enhance the forensic value, and dramatically expand Panacea's market and revenue. Additionally, the repurposing of FaceGen2 technology for the security and law enforcement market, will be explored.
