FFplus partners involved in the EUROCC2 AHM in Tallinn and EUROHPC User Days in Copenhagen

2. October 2025

FFplus partners are networking in Tallinn

From September 21st to September 24th, Tallinn was hosting an exciting gathering of the European HPC community — bringing together NCCs, CASTIEL, and CoEs at the All-Hands Meeting (AHM) to discuss the present and future of HPC & AI in Europe. The FFplus project is proud to be part of these conversations! We are happy to share insights about the FFplus Open Call and the sub-projects already carried out, showcasing how collaboration fuels innovation. Partners also provided information on how NCC members can best work together with FFplus partners, or how FFplus partners can support national SMEs through sub-projects.

FFplus partners involved in the EUROHPC Users Days Conference

From September 29th to October 1st, Copenhagen, Denmark, was hosting the EUROHPC User Days, a landmark event for current and prospective EuroHPC users from across Europe.

The event focuses on sharing user experiences, discussing best practices in application development and optimization, and exploring new opportunities within the EuroHPC ecosystem.

The programme features technical sessions, presentations from EuroHPC hosting entities and user support teams, and discussions on the efficient use of EuroHPC resources. Special emphasis is placed on #AI Factories, which support large-scale AI development and deployment within the EuroHPC framework.

Yesterday, the mission of the FFplus project was highlighted by Guy Lonsdale from scapos AG during the Accessing EuroHPC Support Services roundtable, alongside:

  • Laura Morselli, presenting the Minerva Project

  • Natalie Lewandowski, presenting the CASTIEL Project

  • Janne Ignatius, presenting the EPICURE Project

The roundtable was moderated by Pauline Gounaud from the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU).

During the event, two FFplus sub-projects were also presented:

  • ΔOSIMETReye – a GenAI-based tool for 3D dosimetry from 2D imaging for preclinical studies, by Panagiotis Papadimitroulas from BIOEMTECH

  • AI-Powered Knowledge Graphs for Science-Based Journalism, presented by Jenny Romano from Newsroom
